Recognized Excellence: World-Class Management Award 2022

On 11/25, the World Class Manager Award (WCMA) 2022 took place, the first edition after three years of pandemic, with the participation of 200 people.

The award is an initiative of IBS Americas to recognize Executives, Professors and Institutions that contribute to the development of Brazilian international business, and this year, it honored Ambassador Rubens Ricupero, who dedicated much of his career to international business.

Ricupero was Minister of Finance in Brazil in 1994, Brazil's ambassador to Italy and secretary-general of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) from 1995 to 2004.

In addition to this tribute, the Academic Award takes place annually at the event, which recognizes the best students of the short courses of January, July and September of the year. More than 150 students were recognized and those present received the certificate in hand. Those who were unable to attend received the document in digital form.

The event also featured the participation of Arte na Lata, an institution that for more than 10 years has transformed garbage into musical instruments. The amount collected was sent directly to benefit the new projects of this institution.irte

For Prof. Ricardo Britto, General Director of IBS Americas, "Being able to hold the event in person after two years of pandemic represents hope and restores confidence in better days, allowing our institution to continue providing students with the best possible international experience, which will transform their lives and their careers."
